Hi lovlies!

What a crazy week. I regret to inform you all, I don’t have many photos.

I was all over the place emotionally, because, well, mother nature…if you know what i’m sayin’….

However, here are my discoveries this week:

A new way to eat oats –that for me, has become a recent obsession.

I make my normal stove-top oats (1/4 c. oat bran, 1/2 c. silk, 1/2 warm banana mooshed!, cinnamon, salt and vanilla) then I top it with HOT (AND I MEAN BURNING!) fruit (blueberries, raspberries or strawberries) that I bought frozen and nuked in the microwave for 2 minutes. then I top that with a little bit of Trader Joe’s Vanilla Almond granola and ITS HEAVEN! Its like a cobbler. Seriously people. AMAZING.

So I decided that I’m going to start this new thing weekly where I make a list of things I like this week, here it is:

Things I love this week:

1. Farmville on Facebook – If you don’t know about Farmville, I may say you are lucky. I am addicted! I cannot stop farming my crops and tending to my animals! I blame my sister, she got me into it. haaa!

2. Taylor Swift - Yes, I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT. And let me just say, I’m not a country music person. In fact I’m more of a classic rock gal myself, but I love her album “Fearless”. Oh lordy.

3. Lemon Larabars! I tried this for the first time this week. YUM-O!

4. Yogi Stress Relief Tea. Delicious, plain and simple, and it does work to relieve stress.

5. Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix DVD. I watched this with my boyfriend last weekend, and I love this movie!

6. Guitar - I have sort of been on/and/off playing guitar for years, but this week I got into it again and LOVE IT. Especially when I play Taylor Swift songs in my room in my underwear, those are good nights!

7. Wine Tastings…- yeah, i’m not 21. but, still, they are awesome… I went to one with my boyfriend on friday night!

Well, that’s all this week. I sort of have a lot of homework to do tonight, but I’m feeling like a lazy college student…So I think I’ll just go to bed.

THIS YOGURT IS GOD. Seriously, Chocolate Soy Yogurt. WHY IN THE WORLD HAVEN'T I BEEN EATING THIS SINCE BIRTH?

And I also enjoyed AMY’s Soups this week!

and because I get out of class so darn late, I also tried this Kashi meal…

and finally, my wonderfully tasting oatmeal this week:

1/4 c. oatbran, 1/2 c. applesauce (MOMMA MADE IT), granola, 1/2 a banana, 8g. White Chocolate Wonderful PB, almond milk, salt, cinnamon, vanilla <3

I had sort of a crazy week. I made a dress from paper for my crazy foundations class… Check it……i’m unattractive in this photograph ahha!

OH YAY for the New York Yankees for winning the world series!

I’m doing pretty well so far in November. I’m eating well and feeling well. All except for a couple of little bumps in the road along the way.

1. I have to pick classes for next semester and that sent me into a tizzy on thursday, i was a crying mess because I felt like I had no direction, and I don’t know what I want my major to be and I feel like I suck at everything. I know it’s not true, but I am just trying to figure out what I want to do in the future and thats scary…

2. My boss yesterday, (at The Gap) called me into her office and had to have “a talk” with me, explaining to me how I wasn’t doing my job. GREAT LIFE. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about anyway. I was in a big huffing and puffing state of being when I came home. I guess I just have to realize that I CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE and NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO THINK I’M WONDERFUL.

But I know its true. I always do my best, and that’s all that matters.

Hello ! And Happy Belated Halloween to you all! I know its November 1st and everyone is probably thinking of turkeys (or in my case Tofurkys…) and mashed potatoes right now, but…I must recap the glorious days leading up to Halloween.

ahha, well. I went to the city for Halloween to visit my boy-toy….and had…a rather…fun…time…

Let’s just say I don’t really remember the details.

In other less exciting news…

So… I started my week, with an Art History midterm and a yummy cereal breakfast. Talk about joy… It’s Heart to Heart cereal, 1/2 a banana, and 1/2 c. Silk. I had the Heart to Heart because the word “art” is in “heart” and I was studying for my midterm… just kidding….

I also tried this Amy’s Spinach Pocket! It was really good! Even though…it didn’t look too hot!

I was still in the city this morning while the NYC Marathon was happening. I am so jealous of everyone who ran! Awesome job!

I think ….maybe next year….a marathon might be in the works for someone named Hannah….It could be me!

Anyway…Its late, I’m working off of like 4 hours of sleep.

Hi everybody! I’ve been up and down and all around this week (emotionally……) But hey, its life, it happens…

Firsly, I’m sorry but this post is very long. But don’t despair, its mostly photographs…I am at a loss for words… (probably because I’m watching the Yankee game…)

I do have some new foodstuffs that I tried this week…check em out…

But first!

I am no longer an oatmeal peanut butter drizzle virgin…Thanks to inspiration by Jenny from PeanutButterandJenny, I make my first drizzle!

I think I made drizzle oats the next day too Thanks Jenny! haha.

In the bowl: 1/4 c. oats, 14 g. granola, 8g. almond butter, 1/2 c. soy milk. cinnamon, salt, vanilla. (CVS!)

Lately I’ve been eating this Tofurky/Hummus Pita sandwich. Its delish.

Ingredients.

Heres the finished sandwich! its…tofurky, hummus, lettuce on a warm pita pocket ! (an of course, an apple and pickle too!)

and…..I must admit…I love this yogurt. It tastes like coffee ice cream, only a little tart. Makes my heart happy (because I can no longer drink regular coffee…damn you heart murmur! )

Luckily, Trader Joes has topped themselves, and made other soups like the roasted red pepper heavenly soup (above) that I’m obsessed with…. This week I tried the Sweet Corn and Roasted Red Pepper soup. anndddd….it was EQUALLY AS GOOD! PLUS it has an awesome color! TRY IT!

I also tried a Jocalat bar (by LaraBar) It was awesome. (this one was Chocolate Coffee<3) SO GOOD!

OH! and… yesterday I did a painting of me running for my Life Drawing class…Mom took pictures of me creating….

I have to say, I’m not one to be super impressed by the “SUPER FRUITS”. Words like  “pomegranate or raspberry acai” typically don’t impress me…but I was SOO happy and delighted with this yogurt. Def. one of my new favorites. My fridge is stocked. (Good news girlies, its only 120 calories too!)

Another food adventure came about when I tried Trader Joe’s Chicken-Less STUFFED CHICKEN. Now all my VEGGIE GIRLS you must try this. It taste delicious and its only 160 calories. Plus the black bean sauce will have you doing back flips. delish. gets 5 finkleberry stars. !

Maybe its just the German girl in me…but seriously, Pretzels are the sh!t. for real. and these pretzels inparticular have a special place in my heart.

When I played field hockey in high school, my best friend would always bring these pretzels for us to snack on before and after the game. They just remind me of her and our good old field hockey days. I miss it so much!
This week I made Food Network Chef, Giada’s Sweet Couscous. It has dried cranberries, dried cherries, dried apricots, almonds, sugar and cashews in it! It came out delicious, only thing was it was a bit dry, i think it could have used more sugar… click the link for the recipe.

So in more recent news…

Today I ran a 10K in the horrible frigid rain. It was about 40 degrees this morning when I ran.. but I have good news…

I came in 3rd in my age group! And I got the bronze medal!

I ran 6.2 miles in 53min and 30 seconds..

I was so happy to finish!. My Momma was there to give me a kiss and a hug and tell me how proud she was. Every since my Half-Marathon, I have become addicted to this whole “race-phenomena”. I don’t even care if I win, or place, I just like going and accomplishing something. Plus, I totally get runners high, and thats an amazing feeling.

HAPPY OCTOBER!

I’ve been away for so long…maybe too long!

I’ve successfully transfered schools . and now am in the College of the Arts and loving it. I draw naked people twice a week, have design classes and a nutrition and french class and I swim in the BEAUTIFUL Olympic sized pool and I run and I LOVE IT!!

Currently, I’m completely obsessed with Harry Potter everything. I’m reading it, watching it, and looking for the candies in the stores…HOLLER if you know what I mean…

Anyway, last Sunday I completed my FIRST ever HALF-MARATHON!

“THE JERSEY SHORE HALF MARATHON”

I finished 388th of 670. and I was the youngest female to complete the race GO ME!

It was so intense, and I’m so happy I did it, and now I’m COMPLETELY addicted!!!!! yeah!~ (I’m actually signed up for a 10K this weekend! )

School is good, life is good. I’m soaking everything in (having transfered to a new school and everything). I’m making some friends and enjoying myself.

I’m become OATMEAL CRAZY as well. Yesterday I had a pretzel& craisin combo that was to die for. Tomorrow I’m going to try “Chocolate Protein Oats” (its going to be a complete experiment…I have no idea how to do this! haha!) H.E.L.P!

Today I went to a John Lennon line drawing exhibit by school and I fell completely in love with this one entitled “COME TOGETHER” <3

I miss blogging! I’ll try to take some photos this week and make post by the end of the week I love you all! (I’ve been keeping up reading blogs ..don’t you guys worry! I’m just completely engulfed with school and homework, and running and enjoying life ! )

Hey Everybody!

Its been too too long! I have been busy, doing well, but very busy!

I started working at the pool again, life guarding 40 hours a week, which doesn’t leave much time for anything else in my life. In fact the only way I am posting right now is because its raining and I don’t have to go into work until later. haha.

I saw No Doubt this past month which was cool!

I’m still having the same issues with food, but learning to deal with my binges. I have only had 4 this month which is an improvement from 6 in June.

I plan on getting back to blogging by the end of the summer when I go back to school.

In other news, I am completely obsessed with Harry Potter. I started reading the books and cannot stop! Don’t say anything about them, I’m a totally Harry Potter virgin (I’ve never even seen the movies)

OH! I want to thank Emily (The Health Nut) I got the I <3 Oatmeal shirt and I LOVE IT! I want to wear it to work today!

the pool (on a baddddd day)

Hello beautiful people. I feel as if I haven’t posted anything in weeks, even though it’s only been a couple of days. I’ve been good. I’ve had some ups and downs concerning eating but now am on a good path again. C’est la vie.

I’ve kept up my running training schedule, and cannot believe that my 10K across the GWB is in less then 2 weeks. AHH! 

Also…I’ve been busy with my summer french class and working at the swim club–hence the lack of food photos!  I’m going to get back into doing that again, no worries! 

I’ve been loving my french class. I cannot wait to get my butt to Paris! ahhh. Maybe within the next 2 years…  

Here are some photos from the past couple of days…

This is an experimental ”green monster”, not really. It’s just a 1/2 a frozen banana, a handful of spinach and soy milk…it was an attempt. ahha. 

My Mom is so cute. When I was about 11, I decided I wanted to plant strawberries in the backyard, and ever since every year the strawberry plant has grown and is now producing more fruits! This one is special because it’s our first strawberry of the season!  and yes, my Mom calls me “Pearl” not Hannah…

Today at the pool, there was an hour-old baby deer born in our parking lot. It’s mother left it there, so my boss went to make sure it was ok. She picked it up and brought it down to show all of us! How cute is this! It had no teeth yet! <3

I saw the new Disney-Pixar movie “UP” last night. It was so good! I was squealing with delight! …“Kevin!” 

I’ve also been watching The Yankees a ton. I never really watched baseball before this season. I’m hooked. I’m looking into buying myself some Yankees gear…:)

Hello everybody! I hope ya’ll are having a splendid Memorial Day weekend! I am.

So my weekend down the shore was really fun. Unfourtunatley, the weather was rather chilly and windy so I didn’t get any color on my white body. But I still had a blast with my boyfriend/friends. I love the Jersey Shore.

We went to a minor league baseball game. It was a blast. The Blueclaws vs. the Grasshoppers.

Really funny mid-inning entertainment. A race between a porkroll, cheese, and an egg. haha. If i can remember the porkroll won.

Post-game fireworks! (the first fireworks I've seen this summer! )

We had a lot of fun at the beach house. I hope I get to go back soon maybe when it’s warmer down there. 

Anywho…I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately and have been obsessed with several things, heres a list of this weeks current obsessions:

1. Anything and everything purple

2. Trident gum and Orbit’s new MIST gum <3

3. Cashew butter

4. Food Network (iron chef)

5. The Yankees. (and baseball in general) Can you believe their walk-offs! Good job boys!

6. French (my class has transformed my brain to compute french…when I get home everyday I talk to my dog (mon chien) Charlotte in french…She probably thinks I’m nuts.. Je suis cu-koo!) 

7. sunglasses, mainly my aviators. 

8. “Dulcie style” stove-top oats

9. Medjool dates and Almond Butter

10. Walking to the library. I love the 1.5 mile walk down into my town to the library. Its very relaxing. This week I picked up some Louie Prima CD’s and the Women’s Health book intitled, “The Daily Fix”. Its pretty awesome. I highly recommend it.

Oh my goodness! Yay for the overwelming resonse to my giveaway! Keep the comments flowing. I am really interested in new and differnt summer breakfast ideas and afternoon snacks!

Anyway. I noticed today that I am completely obsessed with the color purple. It’s all around me! EVERYWHERE!

Anyway...I love purple. as you can tell– I’m going to have to go on a search for a purple bowl! In the meantime, enjoy my eats of the day…

Breakfast was 1/4 c. of oatmeal, with 1/2 c. vanilla Silk, 1/2 a mushed banana and 16g Kashi Heart to Heart cereal. Perfect crunch and sweetness! 

Lunch was tofu, spinach, red pepper and gray poupon in a whole wheat wrap… I also had a nectarine on my way home from school/Whole Foods My 1st nectarine of the year! LOVE THEM!

After my 4.77 mile jog. (I went to my boyfriends house…talk about motivation to run faster ) ps- happy 3 1/2 years babe! I had 40 g. of Medjool dates with 8g. almond butter. Seriously, the best post-workout food ever!

Dinner was normal. A Dr.Praeger burger on whole wheat toast with a side of a pickle. Also mixed baby lettuce with cucumber and grape tomatoes yummmers!

Today was good. I had class and stuff. I’m busy busy with french class. Oh! exciting news, tomorrow I’m going down the shore for the weekend with my boyfriend and best friends. I’m SUPER excited because I love the beach and I rarely get to go in the summer because of my rigorous work schedule …whatever, I’m a lifeguard at a public pool, at least I’m outside in the sun all day…I can’t complain.
